CONTRAINDICATIONS TO RADIOACTIVE IODINE:
- Pregnancy or lactation (breastfeeding)
- Coexisting thyroid cancer or suspicion of thyroid cancer
- Individuals unable to comply with radiation safety guidelines
- Women planning a pregnancy within four to six months
